I love this dress - consider doing a false hem in the red for a pop of flash from underneath.

Per understitching the lining - I wouldn't because with this wonderful red, if it pops out, it will almost look like piping trim, or just a teensy surprise of color.

To see stitching or where you want to stitch on black fabric, run a piece of white chalk or a sliver of soap along the line or over the stitches you want to remove

I think there is a part missing from the written instructions. When transferring the blue lines to take in the sides, the pictures shown the line as being sewn right sides together but I believe they should be wrong side together.

You said your rise length is 9 half in front crotch and 15” in the back. When sewing the pants pieces together the back is going to be higher than the front. So how do I line the pieces up when sewing them together ? FIRST I sew the backs crotch together then I sew the front crotch together. Then I open up the front and then I open up the back and i lay them flat with right sides facing. Then I line up the center crotches together. Then I sew the in seams. After that I line up the side seams at the top where the waist is how is it going to line up if the back of your measurement was 15 and your front measurement was 9. I just do get it.

The dress you have on is a lovely fabric. Those narrow straps seem to show your bra strap occasionally. Have you ever tried adding a strap keeper to the inside of a dress? (I saw Karina from Lifting Pins and Needles show how she does this on a recent video if you’re wondering what I mean.) They looked very helpful. Thanks for sharing your modifications on the pattern. This green dress is lovely, too.

side note - I stalk Costco and get the pieces of cardboard that sits between the products - it is a great protector when I am using markers AND I have used it to make patterns when they use the flexible paper!

try alcohol to remove the marker or goo gone - I have done the same - my sewing table is the same type of surface.

Draw over the top with dry erase marker and it will rub off. Or hand sanitiser

You can try greased lightening it gets the permanent marker off my cutting mat!! Let us know if you get it off and what you ended up using!! OMG ou are so funny I just absolutely adore you!! ❤❤❤❤

Ordered these and they just arrived -- definitely a help on carpet. The carpet in the room where I sew is medium pile, so it's not a perfect solution but is still a vast improvement over the previous wheels.

So, basically, made your own pattern!! My MO as well!!!😂 nice!!
